750 Words

Some where I read that seven hundred and fifty words is the average blog post. This magical number has been tossed around to be the golden key to providing just enough content on a blog post to grab someones attention and whisk them away to some fantasy land of living vicariously through the life of another through literary art which i blogging. Profound this concept is in all reality because it is not the amount of word that a person may use it’s how you use them says someone who may also suffering from a severe case of little penis but this is not the case. Knock on Wood. (Look left. Look Right. Look Down. That’ll do.)

Reiterating on this idea someone could potentially post an article with one word and based on how intriguing the author may be or how relevant the article is to current events it may still receive alot of notoriety. Again the amount of verbiage is not the issue. I tend to fall more on the functional side rather than when speaking on this issue. If what a writer says is important than reading is worth while. But is the article is someone rambling about random stuff e.g writing about how people should write articles using a specific number of words…one.two.three….. it may fall onto the reader to decide it’s importance. With that said it is more important the READER’s perspective of the relevance. It’s silly really.

Many good writers may not be actually good writers but they may know exactly what to talk about. Other’s may be great writers but only write about issues that may be important to them regardless of they meet consensus of what is considered good literature or not. As you can probably tell through word 300 or so I am not the most prevalent or fluid wordsmith for it is not my career or job to be so… I never listened enough in English class(es). I much rather just focus on making sure I’m spelling the words correctly as well as some of the basic algorithms to making a proper sentence (noun, verbs, subject, periods that sort of thing) All the other forms of technical writing I leave to the jerks who have nothing better to do than proof read a real writers arts.

I noticed that after the European world made most other cultures adopt the language unwillingly, I vowed to bastardize and savage use the English language just enough to get my point across. I feel that I only speak english because It was forced upon me to do so. I haven’t chosen to speak another language because no other would provide me with anymore than I could already handle in any sense of the term. Unless I happen to go to a Korean carry out and want to know how they think of me as a person.

As for a blog like this one it is solely used for personal investment. I find it amazing any time I see that I have had a visitor to the site or that someone has taken thetime to read it because it is solely used as a personal timeline of what I thought was interesting. I do very littleto market this as any type of material worthy enough of secondary income. Im not that popular. But hey if I do get to that point of success where someone wants to see into the intangible undertones of my temporal lobe they will be provided with enough content to fill there bellies’ with littele about  who i am and more about what I am.

I say what I am because essentially we are what we consume. If you fill on cheeseburgers and milk shakes your going to be a freaking cow no two ways about it. and this information that is written (or typed) to this site is more about the information I consume and or regurgitate to the pages of this blog. I would provide some imagery to the page  in particular this article but I feel it would only be like peeing on a pretty 19 year old with braces. At first it’s starts off interesting but then you just feel bad. Usually it’s after the urination rarely ever before. Well not for me anyway, I mean they are so cute and innocent you have to watch. One day I may have my chance but I feel I have more pressing matters to get to but obviously not because I’m writing on a blog. On that note. I am done and on the move for some fresh meat. Maybe it’s will be you. Males need not apply.

you open your heart and they mock you very decency – W.S.

So I still watch the Simpsons on occasion I mean It’s about as old as I am and for me it’s always been about more than just a laugh which is probably why it’s been around for so long on prime time in fact when no animation was on primetime. And now in 2010 where we have Channels dedicated to animation of all sorts and regular rotation of various shows I can still look back to the simpsons to be like the Hova of cartoons.  Especially with deep stuff like this. Well to me anyway. (Actually took time to crop this clip from the full ep.  to embed)

Pursuit of Happiness

Went skiing for a couple of days in to ski in the Appalachians over the weekend.  In a complete mental cove of tranquility and stress freedom. The whole time knowing I had alot of living to do as soon as I returned. I tried my best to forget the rest and enjoy life and the whole time I repeated this song as a mantra throughout the weekend for I to am in the Pursuit of Happiness. I was surprised that when I got back there was a alternative version of the video which better suited MY experiences… And no that’s not an intentional advertisement on the side for eating wet mango.

the cancerian persona 69

Cancer, the fourth sign of the zodiac, is a water sign, which signifies your highly emotional nature. Being under the sway of the element of water also makes you highly caring, generous and intuitive. You are highly evolved, even spiritual — the water signs are karmically developed and refined in spirit.

Water is malleable and adaptable. You are very much like that. You adapt when you have to, but you much prefer to make changes on your own terms.
Like water, you are soothing and nourishing too. Life-supporting energies are at the heart of your character. You will act as a support for many people — in your own family and beyond.

Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates is a dedicated patron, funding a Beverly Hills hospital for women recovering from cancer. Guess what her star sign is? You got it — Cancer!

You are for the most part a person of feeling and sensation. Often you will ignore your own judgment and rationality, and someone’s else’s reasonable advice, in favour of how you feel. You don’t care if you’re wrong, either! If your intuition tells you to do something, like reaching out to give someone a helping hand, you’ll just do it.

Others turn to you when they need a shoulder to cry on — you’ll do well in any of the caring professions. This approach is highlighted by your key life phrase, ‘I nurture’. You find it difficult to turn away anyone in need. Anyone who knows you will agree that you are one of the best people to connect with if they need advice. Friends will turn to you if they are in trouble, knowing that your sensitive and compassionate touch will lighten their load.

You are extremely receptive to your environment and the people around you, and will often ‘pick up’ people’s energies, moods and thoughts. This ability serves you well; your intuition about people is quite often correct. Your knack of knowing people’s issues before they even open their mouths attracts them to you. The difficulty with this, though, is that you can tend to absorb their emotions — negative as well as positive.

You reflect the qualities of the changing Moon. This means that at times your emotions get the better of you, and you swing from high to low. Family and friends will be well aware of this, but they will not doubt your loyalty and supportiveness.

Another aspect of the Moon that sometimes doesn’t work well for you is its maternal nature. You sometimes veer too close to the mothering/smothering lane, which can put people off.

Back on the plus side, you love to mix with all sorts of people. Social activities are an essential ingredient in your development. You are a great success socially, because you can convey your wisdom to others so well — Cancerians have very expressive faces.

Creative enterprises are a great way to make the most of your moods and your imagination. Music and writing are perfect vehicles for you. You can express the inner part of your being as entertaining literary, art or music pieces.

Cooking is also a great outlet for you. Even if you cook as a hobby rather than as a job, you will find that it balances your state of mind over time.

Sometimes you can get locked into your own private lifestyle, and only come out at full Moon. Being a recluse is not for you, though — share your talents and love with the world. Some of this is down to your love of the night.

Because the Moon’s domain is the night, many Cancerians are night owls. From twilight on, your creativity starts to flow and you feel at home — you have a strong affinity with lunar energies. This is a good time to get into writing, meditating, or just walking in the moonlight. All these will energise you. You love the stillness and mystery of the night.

You are a consummate homemaker. Even men born under this sign express the ‘feminine’ aspect of their character in their love of the kitchen, and activities that make them feel secure in their domestic space.

You love to collect or keep mementos — such as scrapbooks and other bits and pieces — that bring back memories of good times and people you care about. You have a great memory, not just for facts, but also any good turn or kindness you’ve received.

You can always talk about any subject with anyone. That retentive memory is a help here, as is your impartial, even-handed approach to people generally. Dealing with people comes naturally to you: add this to your shrewdness and intuition, and you are likely to be a good businessperson. You can also use these skills in managing your day-to-day life.

If you are a Cancer born between 22nd June and 3rd July you are under the double influence of Moon. You are emotional, loving and destined in marriage and love life. However, try to curb your changeable emotions. Don’t let sentimentality rule you.

Were you born between 4th and 13th July? Well, Cancer, I see you have a very deep and penetrating mind and can sometimes be overly intense in relationships. Your loyalty is unconditional and you make the staunchest of friends.

As a Cancer born between 14th and 22nd July you are prone to a dreamy and idealistic attitude in life. You like the idea of being compassionate and forgiving to everyone and serve the needs of friends and family well. That’s fine but don’t forget that you have needs as well.

Thieves in the Night

not strong
only aggressive
not free
we only licensed
not compassionate, only polite
now who the nicest?
not good but well behaved
chasing after death
so we can call ourselves brave?
still living like mental slaves
hiding like thieves in the night from life
illusions of oasis making you look twice
hiding like thieves in the night from life
illusions of oasis making you look twice

yo, i’m sure that everybody out listening agree
that everything you see ain’t really how it be
a lot of jokers out running in place, chasing the style
be a lot going on beneath the empty smile
most cats in my area be loving the hysteria
synthesized surface conceals the interior
america, land of opportunity, mirages and camouflages
more than usually — speaking loudly, saying nothing
you confusing me, you losing me
your game is twisted, want me enlisted — in your usury
foolishly, most men join the ranks cluelessly
buffoonishly accept the deception, believe the perception
reflection rarely seen across the surface of the looking glass
walking the street, wondering who they be looking past
looking gassed with them imported designer shades on
stars shine bright, but the light — rarely stays on
same song, just remixed, different arrangement
put you on a yacht but they won’t call it a slaveship
strangeness, you don’t control this, you barely hold this
screaming brand new, when they just sanitized the old shit
suppose it’s, just another clever jedi mind trick
that they been running across stars through all the time with
i find it’s distressing, there’s never no in-between
we either niggaz or kings
we either bitches or queens
the deadly ritual seems immersed, in the perverse
full of short attention spans, short tempers, and short skirts
long barrel automatics released in short bursts
the length of black life is treated with short worth
get yours first, them other niggaz secondary
that type of illing that be filling up the cemetery
this life is temporary but the soul is eternal
separate the real from the lie, let me learn you
not strong, only aggressive, cause the power ain’t directed
that’s why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
not free, we only licensed
not live, we just exciting
cause the captors.. own the masters.. to what we writing
not compassionate, only polite, we well trained
our sincerity’s rehearsed in stage, it’s just a game
not good, but well behaved cause the ca-me-ra survey
most of the things that we think, do, or say
we chasing after death just to call ourselves brave
but everyday, next man meet with the grave
i give a damn if any fam recall my legacy
i’m trying to live life in the sight of god’s memory

The Paradox of People

So a new friend reintroduced me to this poem that I haven’t given much consideration until yesterday. I did a little research about who may have wrote this and I found that there are two versions of this poem with different wording but similar meaning and themes. One by Kent Keith and one by some guy, Mother Teresa, who probably just stole Kent Keith concept to sell a couple of children. I just kid I kid, don’t crucify me.  Either way I’m posting both because which ever was first they both provide the same message, “Do it anyway!” not to be confused with Bill O’Reilly’s “we’ll do it live!”.

“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere, people my deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealeous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give you best anyway.

In final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” – Kent Keith

Hard Hardened Harbinger of Haggis

Throw back to when I was a young hopeless romantic. I would watch this on a regular basis. Possibly because it interwined Comedy romance and murder three of my favorite things. Well the murder part is more of a guilty pleasure, but not as if I have ever killed anyone but regardless.  Enjoy the Poetry.

The Ten Crack’d Commandments

Someone asked what were th ten crack commandments? I quickly thought of th song made famous by Biggie aka Notorious BIG. But Iknowticed ther was alot of rhetoric that was pointless so I decided to clearly display the ten crack commandents. Know this doesn;t have to only do with selling drugs, but rather how not to get sold in life. Make your own decision.

Number Uno: I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol

never let no one know how much, dough you hold, cause you know The cheddar breed jealousy ’specially if that man fucked up, get your ass stuck up

Number Two: You shall not murder*

never let em know your next move. Don’t you know Bad Boys move in silence or violence. Take it from your highness (uh-huh), I done squeezed mad clips at these cats for they bricks and chips.

Number Three: Honor your father and mother

never trust no-bo-dy. Your moms’ll set that ass up, properly gassed up, Hoodie to mask up, shit, for that fast buck she be layin in the bushes to light that ass up

Number four: You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife

know you heard this before but never get high, on your own supply

Number Five: Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy

never sell no crack where you rest at. I don’t care if they want a ounce, tell em bounce.

Number six: You shall not steal***

that god damn credit, dead it
You think a crackhead payin you back, shit forget it

Number Seven: You shall not commit adultery

This rule is so underrated, Keep your family and business completely seperated
Money and blood don’t mix like two dicks and no bitch. Find yourself in serious shit.

Number Eight: You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor

never keep no weight on you. Them cats that squeeze your guns can hold jobs too

Number Nine: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor

shoulda been number one to me. If you ain’t gettin bags stay the fuck from police (uh-huh). If niggaz think you snitchin ain’t tryin listen they be sittin in your kitchen, waitin to start hittin.

Number Ten: You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God

a strong word called consignment. Strictly for live men, not for freshmen.
If you ain’t got the clientele say hell no cause they gon want they money rain, sleet, hail, snow.

Whats love got to do with it

Ironically on Valentine’s day I happened to stumble upon an old blog post I made on Myspace back when MySpace blogging was fun and new circa 2006.  I say ironic because the post had to do with love and I figure since the post is only on my space site which is DTM (Dead to me) I’d repost it for the year 2010. I haven’t changed much on my perspective of love even with there being a 4 year difference. Press play above for your listening pleasure.

Tina TurnerWhats love got to do; Got to do with it? Whats love… but a second hand emotion? Love is a word that is translated into a feeling that one is suppose to have for another whom they may care about deeply. Love can manifest itself positively and negatively. Men and women kiss and hug to express their love.  Parents may punish a child or beat them out of love. Its a double sided coin. Love is a word. The emotion that follows behind it is what is real. People use the word so loosely and then fall victim to the word. When they begin to use the word but not the feeling that it is suppose to define.

I truly may know the most about this specific subject in comparison to my peers whom talk to when it comes to relationships because I have probably had the most experience with the subject not so much in variety but in substance. Some have jumped in and out of relationships before the feeling becomes real being afraid of the true feeling. Some jump into the feeling of love without fully understanding the true relationship at hand. Some think love just doesnt exist but they keep talking about and getting emotionally frustrated with someone they claim to not love. Finally Some are just perfect. The relationship seems right and the love is truly there not a figment of imagination.

I rarely speak on the subject mostly because I rarely speak but when I do others think they no it all like Casanova but never had the experience. Movies and books help but dont count. Me personally I believe when people are truly in need of information about relationships they will humble one self to seek advice I offer much a nothing but give a little of everything.

Current P.S. ‘10

If you want my advice now about Love… I’d say your suppose to hurt with love in order to truly be able to define the greatness of love and what it can provide. I wouldn’t say chase love and let love find you for if you don’t you may never receive another valued life lesson.  So take a chance in life and experience love for better or for worse.

Wu-Tang vs. the Beatles

I truly cannot believe I missed this release. Some time mid January Tea Sea Records some independent production studio released a mix mash up of The Wu-Tang Clan and The Beatles definitely two of the greatest groups in their realms. All classic rap verses with old Beatle instrumentals and this mash up is truly professionally done. Unfortunately this must have been illegal because now it has been taken down from TSR’s official website. Surely it can be found somewhere right? Of course

but this is still not the mp3 download. If anyone finds it let me know. Enjoy.

Why real instruments are still better than synthesized

So this kid is sick with the violin. I was pondering whether I should even post this video initially. I have a soft spot for since I use to play one as an child, the violin not a violinist. I’m not an actor or anything. But in either case, I  remained undecided until I start hearing him play Che La Ghost from the Supreme Clientele album, The Roots, Gnarls Barkley… From that point I was sold. If you play a musical instrument or know someone who is nurture the habit. It definitely is a trade for the ages.

Thank you for not Smoking

smokerspain2

Cigarettes are bad for your health. This is NO secret but even when knowing that fact millions of people including myself continue to whisper sweet little nothings in the ear of Death only to see how she responds. There is truly relaxation that is received from smoking a cigarette whether non smokers chooses to believe it or not. Maybe it’s comes from introducing drugs into your system which has become accustom to nicotine in there blood stream. My reasoning though not my excuse for smoking tends to be a little more morbid and realistic than most can believe but Im done for now. We’ll see if I pass.

The skies’ the limit

icon-aircraft-a5-personal-sport-plane-1

It’s official. Im going for a pilots license. After seeing this beautiful machine the in a Popular Mechanic Magazine I was sold. What machine you may ask? Well the ICON A5 aircraft my good person. The ICON A5. Now, I don’t actually live near a large body of water but If they allow this in the Baltimore Inner Harbor I am there. The video I post says it’s starting price is $250.000 but the official website has it marked at roughly $137,000 which is expensive but a bit more understandable. Check out this interview.

Listen to Matt Lauder ask if he can adopt one.

Louis Armstrong, Apple Juice Kid, and Battalion Armour

While internet scavenging I stumbled upon OkayPlayer.com founded by this guy , a site which has now been bookmarked, I discovered a DJ/music producer named Apple Juice Kid who has made an awesome mix CD of the late and great Louis Armstrong. Of course I had to download the mix cd it’s available for free. Click here to download it. But that’s not the best part. While searching further into the origin of this amazing remix cd entitled Beautiful Warrior 2, I find that it not only is the a prequel to the entitled Beautiful Warrior, but more importantly the mixes were being used as a promotional tool for Battalion Armour, a conceptual visual design organization or whatever… That’s not as important though.. What really matters is… well the Beautiful Warriors. Here’s two of my favorite warriors.

Beautiful Warriors 2 : Kirby from Battalion Armour on Vimeo.

Sing for Freedom and Haiti

In memory of those that have lost, been lost and have suffered in Haiti and around the world, may peace fall upon your hearts and minds. If you can donate… please do. If you can’t donate… Understood.

We all  must face struggle through this thing called life, just in different forms. Whether middle, upper, or lower class we all have test, pass or fail. Don’t be blinded by the distractions. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The rest is left to the dice as they roll.

Airport Massacre in COD MW2

Here is leaked footage of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 game to released Nov 10, 2009. This is probably the most realistic first person shooter to ever hit a game console and now it’s probably going to be the most controversial one as well. Above is a mission where you are a terrorist taking hostage of an Airport and the real issues is the massacre of dozens of innocent civilians in which you must take part in to proceed to the next objective. Only your character doesn’t make it instead he gets shot by one of the comrades. But the Massacre the on slot of Heavy machine gun rounds aimed at unsuspecting innocencee which is a way harder to justify than killing violent insane criminals. Essentially you are the Violent insane criminal. This isn’t a far cry from Grand Theft Auto but as I said earlier it’s way more believable and morally  questionable.
UPDATE!!! embedded video doesnt work but click on link Airport Massacre

Night of the Living Dead and the Racial horror movie persona.

For your halloween viewing pleasure today we have Night of the Living Dead. NotLD is probably Ramero’s first zombie film  if not thee first zombie film. You know the basic story if you’ve seen a zombie movie in the past 40 years but this one remains to be different because it IS the original and because of the unlikely hero during the time.

Like most zombie flicks the white girl seems to be the victim although that is mostly a myth but Read more »

The Roots have to be the greatest band of all time… All Time

If you listen to anything urban and you haven’t heard of The Roots then your probably listening to Garbage. Sorry I’m not here to make you feel better or insult you but I swear… If these boys aren’t one of the greatest bands of all time then the meaning and concept of good music is no longer the same period. I advice you to go back and get one of their 7-10 albums and if I’m wrong. I’ll refund you. Syke I’m just BS’n you I will NOT be giving out refund but if you just accept  the fact that your not deep enough or ignorant and I’ll accept your apology. Until then listen to “how I got over” by the Roots. Thank you.
